The PEIMS Department for Diboll ISD was created in 2006-07 in order to create and maintain all student data in a centralized location. It is the responsibility of the PEIMS Department to attend all workshops relating to upcoming changes and update administrators and educators of changes relating to student data as mandated by the Texas Education Agency.
The mission of the PEIMS department is to maintain student data for the entire school district. The PEIMS department is responsible for student demographics, special programs in which they may be enrolled, attendance and grades. Attendance reports and report cards are printed each six weeks from this department and distributed to all campuses. Data files are condensed into a file four times a year and sent to the Texas Education Agency. The first PEIMS submission in the fall consists of demographics, special programs and previous year leavers. Submission two contains financial data extracted from the business department and in the summer, PEIMS data is submitted regarding attendance, discipline and course completion. The fourth submission contains data from the Optional Extended Year program relating to students attending after school classes preparing for the TAKS test.
